Muddy boots and muddy dogs are very welcome - you can walk out of the front door of Dreamcatcher & Moonseeker, along our Devon lanes into Abbeyford Woods, or further afield. Dartmoor presents unlimited opportunities for long or short walks and the cycling routes also make excellent walks.
You may like to explore these routes;
- 5 mile circular Victorian Landscape Walk
- Railways, Castles and Quarries which starts at Okehampton Station and is 6 miles in length
- The Two Castles Trail – Okehampton to Launceston, longer at 24 miles
- The West Devon Way also starts from Okehampton and goes all the way to Plymouth (approx 36 miles) and the Devonshire
- Heartland Way links Okehampton with the Exe valley.
- Tarka Trail (various options)
The South Devon Coast Path - a route of over 600 miles from Minehead in Somerset to Poole in Dorset – is also easily accessible for day walks.
We also have the Ruby Country Walks very close by, ranging in length from 4 miles to 8 miles.
