(Moonseeker) We have just returned from a wonderful week in Devon and Moonseeker Cottage was absolutely perfect. Spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable, and finished to a really high standard with thoughtful attention to detail throughout. The location is fantastic, peaceful yet well placed, and it genuinely felt like a home away from home 🏡 Nicky was such a welcoming and friendly host, extremely helpful and always on hand without being intrusive. Everything about the stay felt easy, relaxed, and well cared for. It was worth every penny and exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend this place and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again... we will definitely be back đź©·

December 2025

(Moonseeker) A perfect cosy hideaway to come back to each night after our walks around Dartmoor.  This trip we started in Bovey Tracey heading to Moretonhampstead, then Chagford to Okehampton, south to Lydford, finishing in Tavistock. So many wonderful pubs en route.  Our favourite is the Oxenham Arms at South Zeal.  Highly recommended. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

(Dreamcatcher) Our first stay, but I am sure there will be more! A perfect haven.  All of the creature comforts. Amazing walks and scenery.  The perfect antidote to busy lives and even some fluffy company - thank you Fluff!  Thank you so much for our wonderful visit!

November 2025

(Moonseeker) Nicky and Trev are wonderful hosts. Moonseeker Cottage is immaculately presented, very well furnished with everything you would need for a comfortable relaxing stay and super cosy and warm. Don’t think twice if you’re thinking of booking. Just do it, you won’t be disappointed.

September 2025

(Dreamcatcher) Thank you for a very relaxing week. We had a great time exploring with our two dogs.  The cottage is lovely, with everything we could possibly need and everything was so clean.  We have had a most perfect week and the weather behaved, which is always a bonus.

(Moonseeker) Very comfortable, with high standard of cleanliness and everything you need. Visited lots of places around and about, the small museum of Okehampton is worth a visit.  The Fountain Inn in Okehampton is definitely worth a visit - very LARGE portions!

(Moonseeker) We have had a wonderful time here, so cosy and welcoming; what an artistic and imaginative conversion of an old building.  We had an excellent re-visit of Castle  Drogo - on a Monday which was quiet.  Another perfect autumn day took us across the moor to Buckfast Abbey and the South Devon Railway at Buckfastleigh.  Thank you for your welcome to this lovely place - it has been a real delight.

August 2025

(Moonseeker) - We had such a lovely time here!  It's a very cosy accommodation and I could stay for longer!  There are plenty of wonderful places nearby - The House of Marbles and Granite Trail to name some of my favourites.  In Okehampton there were lots of nice cafes and shops to visit, but the bookshop is by far the best in my opinion! Also, I thoroughly enjoyed the Stanley Smartpants and the Mackerel Robberies book - I loved how it was just like regular life but the humans were cats instead.  I would 100% recommend it to others.  Thank you very much for the wine and biscuits as well as our memorable stay!

(Moonseeker) - We have loved staying here, a great base for the tors and the beach.  We managed to time our visits to Bude and Sandymouth between the showers (!) and missed most of the rain yesterday while under the trees on a lovely walk in the Teign gorge.  The boys loved the biscuits, thank you so much!  We will definitely recommend.

July 2025

(Moonseeker) - We have had a really lovely time.  We were only booked to stay 1 week and ended up staying 3 weeks! Thank you Nicky & Trevor for the welcome pack.  It was all much appreciated and all shared with our family who live down the road.  It has been a truly wonderful visit and our bears have loved it!  Great walks for them every morning and late evening at Simmons Park and lots of great places visited all round.  Moonseeker is lovely and such a comfortable bed.  Everything we needed and will definitely be back again.

June 2025

(Moonseeker) - We and our 2 dogs loved this stay.  All was perfect for these few days.  Next time we'll stay longer.  The weather, the visiting places and the landscape was very beautiful.  Hope we'll see this place again.

(Dreamcatcher) - Thank you for a relaxing and very enjoyable, hot week!  We loved sitting in the quiet garden watching the squirrels and birds.  Thank you for the welcome pack, much appreciated.

May 2025

(Moonseeker) - What an amazing place!  Thank you Nicky, it's been wonderful. So relaxing. Everything is perfect. We used to live in Okehampton and we have managed to catch up with friends, and visited some of our favourite places such as Castle Drogo, Tavistock, Fingle Bridge (so beautiful!), and a round of golf at Okehampton Golf Club. Also The New Inn at Sampford Courtenay, The Tom Cobley at Spreyton, Fingle Bridge Inn for food.  You have worked so hard here, it is wonderful.  We hope to see you again.

(Moonseeker) - Wow! This place was absolutely amazing! This is one of the loveliest cottages I've ever been in and hope to come back next year for Ten Tors!  It's so well done, comfortable and just perfect for a relaxing weekend away!  Thanks so much for a lovely time!

(Dreamcatcher) - Had a fab stay at Dreamcatcher, would love to move in permanent.  Visited Port Isaac and the rest of the time spent walking the moors!

April 2025

(Moonseeker) - What an incredible place.  Beautifully restored, it has an air of calm and peace straight away.  Local area is beautiful, close to some of the lesser known tors.  Stunning walks despite the changeable weather.  Castle Drogo, The Dartmouth Rail Round Robin trip are a must

(Dreamcatcher) - We had a wonderful stay in this well equipped cottage.  Loved the history of the farm. Devon was great as usual.  Managed to do everything we wanted, despite the weather having the odd rainy day.  We travelled as far as Clovelly.  The Dartmoor walks are excellent as well. Warm welcome from the owners on arrival and they are always to hand should you need them.  In the garden we loved watching and identifying the birds from my app.  Even saw my first woodpecker and nuthatch - perfect!

February 2025

(Dreamcatcher) - We have had a lovely week here at Dreamcatcher.  We are so pleased we chose to come back.  The weather was really kind to us and we enjoyed a few days out.  Highlight of the week was Bude in the sunshine.  Thank you for our welcome pack, we hope to return again and explore more of this beautiful area.

(Dreamcatcher) - What a lovely place for a winter craft escape.  Spent a lovely week hanging out with the birds and squirrels.  Thank you for a most restful place to be

January 2025

(Moonseeker) - We had a really lovely, relaxing stay.  The weather was not too bad so we managed to get out and about. Castle Drogo was closed , so we walked the Teign Valley, Lydford Gorge, Meldon Reservoir and Tavistock.  The cottage is so warm and comfortable, and we will be back later in the year.

(Dreamcatcher) - Very clean and welcoming. A treat for the dogs and us humans.  Lovely to stay in a cottage that allows multiple dogs with the benefit of an enclosed garden.  Very helpful and easy to contact host.  The place looked so quintessentially British in the snow - a real treat!

Christmas 2024

(Moonseeker) - We have never been away for Christmas and away from family but WOW! What a lovely place to be.  Such a lovely cottage, everything we needed was right here.  The dog has had a blast. You have it so nice and it was very Christmassy with a beautiful tree and a lovely log burner.  Thank you so much, we will definitely be back - you made our Christmas feel special.

(Dreamcatcher) - Lovely cottage, lovely area.  Greeted by Nicky on arrival.  Waiting in the cottage was a welcoming gift for us, which was much appreciated.  The cottage had everything you need to spend a perfect break.  Enjoyed seeing the birds at the feeders enjoying their food!  Be good to see it in better weather so the dogs could enjoy longer walks.  Thank you - great cottage, great location.

November 2024

(Dreamcatcher) - We have had a truly wonderful week here, and wouldn't hesitate to return as the property is perfect.  The photos online do not do it justice.  We have visited both coasts and made a trip down to our favourite Mevagissey, as well as Brixham, Exmouth and Saunton Sands.  Castle Drogo was also stunning and we would love to see the gardens again in Spring and Summer.

(Dreamcatcher) - We have had a fabulous time staying at Dreamcatcher cottage!  Would love to just move in permanently.  The cottage has everything you could need and more.  Watching the birds in the garden is the best start to the day and getting to explore the area of Devon has been a relaxing retreat.  We've been able to visit Dartmoor Otters and Butterflies in Buckfastleigh, hiked across the river Dart and even explored the history of Tintagel Castle.  All in all, it has been the most fabulous and relaxing holiday.  We cannot wait to visit again soon!

October 2024

(Moonseeker) - Great to be back in this beautiful and well equipped cottage.  It's wonderfully based for our Devon family and we've caught up with several this week, as well as enjoying the weather window opportunities to see more of the local area.

(Dreamcatcher) - We have had a lovely week here at Dreamcatcher.  The weather has been mostly kind to us and we have loved exploring Devon and Cornwall.  The cottage is lovely, well equipped and comfortable.  Some highlights of our week: Bude, Meldon reservoir, Fingle Bridge, Dartmoor Prison museum, Fernworthy reservoir.  Food from Farmer Luxtons farm shop is fabulous.  Great butcher.  We enjoyed a leg of lamb and pork belly. We hope to be back.

September 2024

(Dreamcatcher) - We returned after 3 years and Dreamcatcher is as lovely as we remember, everything is catered for.  It's so nice and quiet and it's great fun to watch the birds on the feeder.  The Taw River Inn at Sticklepath is great for food.  The welcome pack in the cottage was delicious, Jim is now addicted to those biscuits!  We will be back!

(Moonseeker) - Beautiful cottage, so quiet and peaceful. Wonderful welcome from Nicky. We had wonderful walks out to Rowtor on Dartmoor - amazing views, Belted Galloway cows, Dartmoor ponies and sheep, Abbeyford Woods, Fatherford & Meldon Reservoir.  Ate out at The New Inn and The Countryman at Sampford Courtenay, and Farmer Luxtons for a breakfast.  All venues are dog friendly.  We have had a wonderful break visiting family and friends in Okehampton.  The cottage is amazing, well equipped and so comfortable.  We will be back.

(Moonseeker) - Beautiful cottage, so quiet & relaxing.  Amazing weather all week! So lucky.  Visited Castle Drogo, Tintagel, Cotehele.  Enjoyed early evening drinks sitting on the patio!  The perfect way to spend a few days away.  Celebrated a birthday in style with wonderful food cooked in the well equipped kitchen. A great stay

August 2024

(Dreamcatcher) - We have loved our stay in Dreamcatcher Cottage.  It's such a beautiful place.  It was lovely to meet you and you were right about travelling an hour out to find the sun.  We travelled to many places and made wonderful memories.  We hope to return.

(Moonseeker) - Wow! Such a lovely peaceful quaint cottage in a beautiful part of the country.  The hosts, Nicky & Trevor, were so gracious and welcoming. Even borrowed us a couple of books highlighting the secret beaches of the South West, which we used to find some wonderful spots on our travels.  We particularly liked Lantic beach in South Cornwall.  From our lovely base in Okehampton, being central to many destinations, we travelled to Plymouth, Buckfastleigh, Woolacombe, Bude and St Ives and came back to our relaxing base in the evenings. Wishing our hosts all the best as they definitely deserve it!  Hope to see you again in the future.

(Dreamcatcher) - Wow - a truly beautiful converted barn with a lot of character.  Very comfortable and well equipped.  Many thanks to Nicky for your welcome and help throughout our stay.  An ideal location to explore the surrounding areas, which we did! A lovely break in a lovely place, and the weather was kind to us.

July 2024

(Dreamcatcher) - Reluctant to leave.  We have enjoyed a fantastic week here at Webber Hill Farm.  A big thank you for the welcome flowers, wine, milk biscuits and the thoughtful dog friendly stuff!! Can't think of anything we have missed here as the cottage is so very comfortable and well equipped for our weeks stay.  We have been far and wide - chasing the sun and found it! We have covered Devon, Dorset and Cornwall in our travels and loved every trip out.  No hesitation to recommend and hopefully return!

(Moonseeker) - Had such a wonderful time in your lovely cottage! Beautiful walks, the one in Chagford yesterday was absolutely the best (such lovely weather!). Hope to visit Dartmoor another time - who knows!?

June 2024

(Dreamcatcher) - We really enjoyed our stay at Dreamcatcher.  The cottage was really comfortable with great amenities.  Highlights of our time in Devon included Castle Drogo, lunch at the Fingle Bridge Inn and walks in the area, the wonderful walks at Lydford Gorge, the busy but delightful village of Chagford, Simmons Park, Okehampton Castle.  The town of Tavistock is also worth a visit, with the Pannier Market and riverside walks a great attraction.

May 2024

(Moonseeker) - My 3rd time here!  As usual it was an absolutely perfect week - even perfect weather! We love the cozy and immaculate cottage and the adventures in the surrounding countryside.  Most of all we love the care and attention that Nicky and Trevor have spent on this little piece of heaven.

(Moonseeker) - It is every bit as beautiful as we had remembered.  So very peaceful, bird song is so lovely to listen to throughout the day.  A lovely sunny facing garden and the rest of the cottage has got the real "wow" factor.  It is absolutely immaculate in every way and so many things covered and thought of.  Our dog loved her treats, as did we.  We have visited several places locally and further afield.  Different places from last year.  Had some wonderful days out together.  Weather mainly sunny, hot and dry.  Just one major downpour with thunder on 2nd day!!  Thank you for the lovely warm welcome back.  We are now looking to book our 3rd holiday with you!

(Dreamcatcher) - Lovely week.  Dreamcatcher is a pretty cottage, with all the homely comforts.  We enjoyed the antics of the bird life and the buzzing of the bees.  Even had fusses from 2 of the cats.  Thank you for letting us use Dreamcatcher, we will recommend it to family and friends.

April 2024

(Moonseeker) - Wonderful stay to "get away from it all".  Nicky really has thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible.  We enjoyed relaxed days reading at the cottage, as well as dog friendly days out: Okehampton Castle, Walk from Castle Drogo to Fingle Bridge Inn for lunch, a tour of Finch Foundry and walk up the hill to the moors, The "dawn chorus" walk over at Belstone where we saw a bronze age stone circle, and wild horses with lunch at The Tors, with a fantastic view, evenings in drinking wine and watching a film with the fire on.  A perfect trip and we hope we'll have the chance to return in the future.

(Dreamcatcher) - Home from home! Just know it so well & Accessible!! Great cooker and all utensils brilliant! Funny to say this but coffee and cooking essential - thank you!  Loved the yoga space too as I could escape up there and practice.
