Cosy Moonseeker, with its underfloor heating, is a lovely country retreat for a couple, with plenty of space for 4 people if you want to holiday with family or friends. Next to the farmhouse, Moonseeker used to be the shippon when Webber Hill was a working farm. Now it is a light & spacious home from home, offering guests a high degree of privacy. We named this barn conversion after the views of the moon through the high velux windows in both bedrooms - a lovely place for stargazing on a clear night.
BEDROOMS: The cottage has 2 ensuite bedrooms separated by a 'bridge' walkway. The bedrooms have a 5ft king size bed, and a 6 ft superking zip and link, which can be a twin on request. Both ensuites have power showers and we supply hand towels and large bath towels (1 each per person). The comfortable Hypnos beds have sumptuous toppers with hollowfibre pilllows. Hairdryers are provided in both bedrooms - along with a table top tower fan for warm nights.
KITCHEN: In the kitchen there is a large farmhouse table to seat 4, range style gas cooker with 2 ovens and 8 burners - great for enthusiastic cooks! Also a dishwasher, fridge, separate freezer and washing machine. There is a microwave, toaster, stove top kettle and plenty of crockery and cutlery. As with Dreamcatcher, the cupboards are bespoke oak units with granite worksurfaces.
LOUNGE: In the lounge is a woodburner (first basket of logs supplied free), comfortable leather armchairs and sofa. The TV is a 40" Panasonic Smart TV, with a DVD player. For your music we have the Pure Contour D1 digital radio with bluetooth connection. The wall lights in this room are on a dimmer, so you can choose your own lighting mood.
Moonseeker has underfloor heating both upstairs and downstairs, which is set on a timer. Free WiFi, suitable for catching up with emails and browsing the internet, is available throughout.
OUTSIDE: The garden is enclosed on all sides by fencing and a wall with views to Dartmoor in one direction and the distant coast of Bude in the other. Garden furniture is provided to seat 4 on a decked patio with steps leading up to the grassy garden. There is often livestock in the field beyond the garden therefore we would ask guests who bring pets to be particularly vigilant in keeping their pets under control.
PARKING: There is under cover parking for 2 cars a short walk away from the cottage (you can park nearer for loading/unloading purposes). Particularly useful for keeping the car cool in hot weather and no need to de-ice it in the winter!
