BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
General
The person making the booking will be regarded as the Lead Person for the purposes of the contract between Webber Hill Farm Cottages and members of the party booking the property.
Making a Reservation
On receipt of a reservation enquiry the booking is provisional and will be confirmed by the Owner in writing. Provisional bookings (reservations) remain firm for 24 hours. If no payment is received before the expiry of this period, the provisional booking (reservation) will be cancelled and the dates made available.
Paying for your holiday
A non-refundable deposit of 40% of the total amount due is payable on booking, with the remainder to be paid eight weeks before commencement of the holiday. It is your responsibility to ensure the balance is paid by the due date.
As soon as a booking is confirmed you become liable for the balance of the holiday when due. Non-payment by the due date will be treated as a cancellation. The cancellation clause will apply. We are not responsible for sending reminders of the due date.
Bookings made within eight weeks of the start date of your holiday must be paid in full. If you wish to bring your pet with you, payment must be made prior to the commencement of your holiday. If you are booking via a third-party payment will be due in accordance with the terms and conditions specified on the third party’s system.
Method of Payment
Payment is accepted by bank transfer, credit card or debit card. Where payment is made from outside of the UK only direct bank transfer, credit card or debit card (where the facility exists) will be accepted. Payment must be in pounds sterling.
Cancelling your holiday
In the event of cancellation, please advise immediately in writing (email is acceptable). If you have booked via a third-party booking platform your cancellation must be dealt with through the third-party system. The cancellation terms applicable on that third-party system will apply.
If you have booked direct through Webber Hill Farm Cottages the following will apply;
Cancellations made more than eight weeks prior to the start date of your holiday will result in the loss of your deposit only.
Cancellations made less than eight weeks prior to the start date of your holiday will result in loss of the full amount unless we are able to re-let the holiday, in which case we will refund you the monies paid, less any costs incurred by us in order to re-let, eg additional advertising or discounting the holiday period.
We therefore strongly recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance to cover you for this.
In the unlikely event that we are forced to cancel your holiday due to circumstances beyond our control, we will refund all monies paid to us. No further liability will be accepted.
In the unlikely event that we are forced to terminate your holiday early due to circumstances beyond our control, we will refund an appropriate proportion of monies paid to us in accordance with the relative number of nights stay. For the purposes of this clause each night of the original stay booked will be deemed to have equal value. No further liability will be accepted.
COVID-19 disruption to your holiday
If you are unable to take your holiday due to a Government lockdown preventing you from travelling, you may change the date of your holiday, or receive a credit voucher for the value of monies paid. If you choose dates that are more expensive, the difference between the original holiday dates and the new dates will be payable. No admin charge will apply. Alternatively you may request a refund.
Our standard terms and conditions apply for all other reasons including illness or isolation due to Covid or any other illness or condition, therefore please make sure you have appropriate travel insurance
